The canyon at night.

A family study of black and whites. Katie's excited for Zion, I'm contemplating life, Mom's guarding possessions, and Dad's ready for the bus ride.

Running waters at the mouth of the Narrows Canyon.

Wildflowers that grew outside our cabin.

More wildlife. These deer came down to the Zion lodge every day for the lush grass. Wild turkeys were chowing down as well. David Onheiber just looks wild.

Some critters hanging out. I almost sat on the frog, he was so small I hardly noticed him....a little bigger than my thumbnail.

Another great hike was to the Emerald Pools. The views were awesome and the pools were cool!....brrrrr.

We stayed at the Zion Ranch, just outside the park. I managed to catch sunrise one morning, with grazing buffalo and cattle.

In the Narrows, looking up.

Reflections in the Narrows.

Deeper in the Narrows.

The hike begins to narrow and walking becomes wet.

Met this guy along the way to the Narrows. He was nice enough to stop and pose for a pic.

Probably my favorite part of Zion was the Narrows. You literally hike in a canyon river that takes you down narrow passageways and gives amazing views and colors of the canyon walls. These pics are taken on the path to the entrance of the Narrows, just before you have to get wet.
